1. Who is responsible
The publisher of this site (contact: web@maui-helicopter.tours) is responsible for how personal data is handled on maui-helicopter.tours. This notice is effective from the "updated" date shown on the page and is revised here when anything changes.
2. What we do not collect
The site has no user accounts, no login, no newsletter, no comment forms and no booking forms. We do not set cookies of our own, we do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not use fingerprinting or local storage to recognize you. Fonts are served from our own domain, so no font provider sees your visit. The site's only script handles the menu, the weight calculator on the weight-rules page (which runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere) and the loading of the GetYourGuide widget described below.
3. The GetYourGuide widget and partner links
Some pages embed live availability or "most booked" tiles from GetYourGuide. That embed is loaded from widget.getyourguide.com only when you scroll to within a few hundred pixels of it. When it loads, GetYourGuide's servers receive your IP address, browser details and the page you are on, and GetYourGuide may set its own cookies to run the widget and to attribute a later booking to this site. We do not receive any of that data; we see only aggregate commission statements that do not identify you. If you do not want this, do not scroll to the widget, or block third-party cookies in your browser; the rest of the page works without it.
Partner links and "Check dates" buttons pass through a short redirect on our domain (a temporary, 302 redirect at /go/…) to GetYourGuide, carrying a partner identifier, a campaign name, a channel label and a currency setting so that GetYourGuide can credit the referral and show US-dollar prices. Our redirect does not set a cookie or store anything about you. From the moment you land on getyourguide.com, GetYourGuide's own privacy policy applies. Links to operators, the National Park Service, the FAA or Hawaii DOT Airports are ordinary links with no tracking parameters.
4. Server logs
Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers keep standard access logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page and browser type. These logs are used to keep the site running, to detect abuse and to count visits in aggregate. They are retained for a limited period by the provider under its own policies and are not combined with any other data about you.
5. Email
If you write to web@maui-helicopter.tours, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of corrections made to the site. We do not add you to any list and we do not share your address. Please do not send booking references or payment details; we delete any we receive.
6. Legal basis and your rights
Where data-protection law such as the GDPR or a US state privacy law applies to you, the processing described in sections 3 to 5 rests on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website and in earning the commissions that fund it, and on your action in writing to us. You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to processing, by emailing the address above. For data handled by GetYourGuide or by our hosting provider, please contact those companies directly; we will point you to the right page if you ask.
7. Children
The site is a general travel guide and does not knowingly collect any data from children. Helicopter operators set their own minimum ages, which we report on the route pages.
8. Changes
We will publish any change to this notice on this page and update the date at the top. Questions go to web@maui-helicopter.tours; the terms of use and the about page describe the rest of how the site works.
